Everyone hopes for good weather for their wedding day, but I think Carrie and Sean might have been questioning their blessings on their day with temperatures over 30C. It was an absolute scorcher! (So if you're into the burying a sausage to ensure good weather tradition, don't over do it!! LOL) Thankfully The White House Hotel had installed very effective AirCon in the function rooms, which gave some much needed relief from the heat.
It was the first time I had worked at this venue and I was really impressed. it was bright, clean and modern looking and had some character, unlike some venues that can feel a bit like a stark conference room.
Carrie and Sean are such a fun couple, and the registrars were great, so even their ceremony was filled with laughter and emotion.
After the ceremony, Carrie and Sean had provided a load of bubble guns instead of confetti, (I love it when people do something a bit different like this). The bubbles were really effective, and, particularly with the sun possibly even better than confetti. Although you do need quite a few bubble guns. It meant that for the rest of the drinks reception there were bubbles floating around everywhere.
The beautiful gardens provided a range of options for their couple photos, including a childrens play area which Carrie decided we had to make use of.
Since this was a relatively small intimate wedding, I wasn't needed after this, so I wished them all the best, left them to enjoy the rest of their day and retreated to the car with the AirCon on full.
